April 18th we will be at the Syosset PETCO off of Jericho Tpke from 12-4. Come on down and adopt a friend in need., and meet the critter crew! March 31, 2010  This month we have managed to get Liability Ins. which has added  another $ 1096.00 a year to our budget.  John and I have been dealing with several medical issues , as well as some severe financial stresses due to this rescue.  We are worried that we may have to close this rescue if we do not get any more help. We know the economy has effected everyone, my family  included., but we are trying our best to do what is right., but our  family must come first. We have shelled out over $3500 last year of our own personal money to help this rescue stay open. We are done. We cannot do it another year. If we do not receive help, we will be closing. I will not lose my home or risk my family for this rescue. We have sacraficed so much already, that people just don't realize.  We are doing everything we can, but we are only a family of 4 doing this. We NEED more help and money coming in to stay open.  Tomorrow,  Thursday, April 1st through  Saturday April 3, we will be at W & K Farms of Manorville. They are located at the cross roads of Wading River Road and South Street, just off  the LIE at Exit 69 . Come show your support, and meet the Critter Crew. Perhaps Adopt a Duckling, Guinea Pig, or Rabbit. We will be having 2 Easter Basket Raffles to help support our cause. 2/13/10    We did an adoption event at PETCO in LakeGrove today. We adopted out 2 Hamsters. We have many more seeking new homes. We collected $22.00 in dontations.  WE ARE DOING A PITCH A PENNEY COLLECTION DRIVE. OUR GOAL IS TO COLLECT A MILLION PENNIES.  PERHAPS YOUR    SCHOOL, FRINEDS AND OFFICES WOULD BE WILLING TO PARTICIPATE.  ALSO WE ARE DOING A CANS FOR CRITTERS DRIVE.  SAME THING APPLIES SCHOOLS, OFFICES FRINEDS AND NEIGHBORS COULD COLLECT CANS FOR US TO RETURN FOR  DONATIONS  TO US. WE NEED ALL THE HELP WE CAN GET IN ORDER TO REACH OUR GOAL OF OBTAINING A NEW FACILITY. SO PITCH IN, HELP THE PLANET AND OUR RESCUE. RECYCLE.   THE ANIMALS THANK YOU!!      11/23/09 We have had SEVERAL Baby Guinea Pigs Born here since Halloween. Over 18 of them! They will all be ready in December. If anyone is interested in them, you can come take a look, and we can hold them for you with a completed and approved application and donation. 11/20/09  Tonight at 5:30 Please join us at the Hampton Bays Wildlife Center on Montauk Highway in Hampton Bays for a Night Owl Prowl. We will learn about Owls, and hopefully see some of them on a night nature walk. You can call them for more info at 631-728-WILD for more info. They will be running this Owl Prowl and other events every three weeks. So give them a call and see what they are all about. You will have a HOOT of a time!!!  We will be there!!! 10/18/09   Someone just brought us over 10 Guinea Pigs that were found outside in 3 card board boxes in a shopping cart aunder the cart return in the Wading River King Kullen Shopping Center.  We now have over 30 Guinea Pigs waiting for new homes!  Photos will be uploaded as soon as I can.  10/09/09  This is what I found outside of my home  Tonight 10/9/09 at 10:30 P.M. Don't people know that it is ILLEGAL TO DUMP ANIMALS!!!  There were 4 Adult Males with 4 young males. 4 Young Females with 5 Adult Females. 7 newborn pinkies found in a Plastic Filing box with black electrical tape around it.
